You are correct. I did not capture your likeness. I'm passing this job along to another artist. I'm sure they will do a better job.
Even though the likeness has not been captured, this drawing is one of my favorites. I really like how it has been drawn, that it is a portrait of someone with their eyes closed in mid-smile and lively earings.
I like it. I like your style too, Awed_Job. I'm sorry the customer wasn't pleased. I too draw in a very stylized fashion (cartoony) and often wonder if that is what the customer expects when they make their requests.
Maybe we could create a "style" guide for people, so when they request a drawing they could also request a style they would prefer to see it in. Then the artists with that particular strength would get those requests.
