The tiny cannon next to the castle is a nice touch.
That was Beany and Cecil you're refering too. It was a puppet/variety show in 1949 and then a cartoon - and MUCH later a cartoon in the eighties - worth checking out the old stuff if you can find it; a Bob Clampett masterpiece for sure: http://www.toonopedia.com/beany.htm
